There is a mod that lets you build your own vault. I believe the patch is now incorporated into the latest release, but you had better check first. There are so many file uploads, it's hard to keep track of this mod without being a busy body over on the nexus forums and getting in on the chatter there.

The authors are very transparent about their issues too, so it's not like they are trying to scam you or anything. It is referred to by 'scrap everything' which causes a reset bug to occur with power armour, (any x-01 you find will be reset to t-45), so don't use that either. 'craftable power armour' mod is very unstable.
